A major NHS District General Hospital with over 800 beds required a complete BMS overhaul to meet NHS net-zero targets and improve fire system integration. Legacy systems from multiple manufacturers with no unified monitoring left the estates team reacting to failures rather than preventing them.

Odin delivered a full Niagara 4-based BMS integrating 46 AHUs, theatre pressurisation controls, fire damper monitoring and full energy sub-metering across 12 departments. The system interfaces with the existing Gent fire alarm panel via BACnet — enabling automated HVAC shutdown sequences on alarm activation. Detailed energy reports provided to the estates team monthly, identifying consumption trends and supporting the trust's net-zero reporting.

A 12-storey Grade A office development required a BMS specification capable of achieving BREEAM Excellent while providing individual floor energy sub-metering for transparent tenant billing. The client needed a single contractor responsible for integrating all building services.

Odin provided full BMS design and installation — integrating all floors including four passenger lifts, mechanical car park ventilation, full-perimeter access control and floor-by-floor energy sub-metering. Fire integration delivers automated floor isolation, stairwell pressurisation and smoke control sequencing. BREEAM documentation support contributed directly to the Excellent rating at practical completion.
